General Rules 7 Card Stud

A game with up to 8 players on the table. The game has a total of 5 betting rounds. Each player is allowed to place one bet and 3 raises every betting round. Every player receives a total of 7 cards. There are no community cards. The dealing rounds are as follows:

1st round - 2 face-down and 1 face-up card

2nd round - 1 face-up card

3rd round - 1 face-up card

4th round - 1 face-up card

5th round - 1 face-down card

When the final betting round is completed, the best poker hand wins the pot. In the game of Stud 8 or Better the pot will be split between the best hand and the best 'Low' hand. If there is no 'Low' hand the full pot will go the best poker hand. For the best 'Low' hand a player must qualify. Qualification takes a 5-card hand with different values from Ace to 8. The best low hand possible is A,2,3,4,5.
